PhD in Project Management from the National Aerospace University Kharkiv Aviation Institute; Master’s Degree in Economics and Finances
His employment at various governmental bodies and production companies helped him gain a valuable experience in managing state-owned enterprises. His affiliation with the space industry started in 2006, when was appointed Director General at Kommunar Association State-owned Scientific and Production Enterprise, located in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Kommunar is a leading engineering company producing equipment and control systems for launch vehicles. Under his management, more than 120 vehicles, i.e. Soyuz, Proton and Zenit, with Kommunar products on board were successfully launched from Baikonur (Kazakstan). 102 astronauts were sent into space on launchers equipped with Kommunar control systems and devices. In 2015-2016, he was appointed Chairman of the State Space Agency of Ukraine. He is also an adviser to the Member of Parliament on space and aviation issues.
